Nitrous Oxide
For years the debate as to weather or not nitrous is a viable and safe power adder has plagued common and professional enthusiast alike. Weather you are pro or con for one reason or another we feel a safely tuned system in specific situations is 100% effective. As with other power adders that present us with a parasitic losses , such as superchargers or roots blowers, nitrous requires no power to use. The common feeling of a nitrous equipped vehicle is an extremely sharp power and torque curve over baseline. Gains at the wheels front or rear are typically similar to that of the jetting size. Torque gains are combination dependant and usually are very high as compared to base line. That means big block like feel with a small block. For example a forced induction set up requires a higher caliber fuel system to deliver the same power a nitrous car may make with less requirement. Stand-alone engine management
For the ultimate in power, control, drivability and reliability, stand-alone engine management systems are second to none. They give you the ability to control every parameter of an engines functions to the highest accuracy possible. Because of this, engine management systems can increase horsepower by as much as 25% over stock! Engine management systems can also surpass the factory systems idle, drivability and reliability. Even in extreme situations like cars with huge injectors, big cams, radical port work, etc..... These systems really are truly exemplary in supercharged or turbocharged applications where tuning of the air to fuel ratio is deadly important to the engines survival and long term durability. Nitrous Oxide should not be eliminated from this equation nor should naturally aspirated combinations, as they can benefit from the high level of accuracy. Typically nitrous oxide kits are jetted to run overly rich, which presents the problem of running into a motor that can quickly burn pistons. With stand-alone management systems, control over these parameters is easily accessible. The higher the horsepower the more critical the given requirements to making that horsepower are. These systems present us with the means to deliver that requirement, unlike stock systems developed primarily for use in low horsepower applications. Particular attention is made between the different manufacturers offering stand-alone packages to assure the correct unit is chosen for your application.
